About
DealsAssist was founded in 2025 by Kerry Gibson BA/LLB; MTAX, to provide independent, economical and practical legal procurement assistance to cost-conscious clients in both public and private sectors. Kerry has years of experience working as a senior lawyer and probity advisor to government procurement and project teams, honing a solutions-focussed approach.
Kerry has also acted as a front-end advisor to private clients drafting and negotiating high value construction contracts. On the supplier-side, she has provided support in tender responses, contract negotiation and the development of contracting frameworks and precedents, in industries ranging from the gas exploration engineering sector through to architectural services and IT contracting services.

Kerry is a member of the UDIA Logan Committee, Building Dispute Practitioners' Society Queensland Chapter, Energy and Resources Law Association, Society of Construction Lawyers Australia and the Queensland Law Society.




Kerry Gibson acted for the principal in the negotiation of the design and construct contract for the $122 million Sea Glass project in Broadbeach- expected completion 2027.
As the public health service's acting Deputy General Counsel (Commercial), Kerry Gibson assisted in the preparation of tender documents for the $105 million Secure Mental Health Unit project (Gold Coast).
Kerry Gibson advised on the construction aspects of the contract for the Astra Lumina installation at Currumbin.
As in-house counsel, Kerry Gibson advised on the tender process and contract for the $6 million Redcliffe Hospital Electrical Reticulation Project, completed in 2019.
